Group #2's last day aboard the Palau Siren. The picture is a little dark. It rained on our last day. Palau was crying because Scuba World finally had to go home for good. Steve Darling, Jr. surprised us by showing up from Fiji to help crew our cruise. He did a good job and now has first hand knowledge of the Siren yacht structure and standards. The Fiji Siren will be build exactly the same as the Palau Siren. The second week of your vacation, you'll spend with us land-based at Manta Ray Bay Hotel on the island of Yap. There, we'll celebrate Andy's birthday with our old friend, Bill Acker - Mr. Manta Man himself.

SWS Group #1 and Group #2 TRIP COSTS:
SWS trip package cost including international and inter-island flights for Group #1 departing SFO on March 21, 2013, returning to SFO on April 7, 2013 is $7,698 per diver, double occupancy. SWS trip package cost including international and inter-island flights for Group #2 departing SFO on March 29, 2013, returning to SFO on April 17, 2013 is $7,899 per diver, double occupancy. Prices are subject to change if the airlines increase the tax prior to group ticketing.
05NOV12 Update of Out-Of-Pocket fees and expenses Not included in the SWS package fees : Airport Departure taxes (Palau = $20, Yap = $20, Palau green environmental fee ($30), Palau marine park and port fees = (115 euro = approx $220 USD), wine on board Palau Siren, meals not listed above, mandatory dive computer on Palau Siren (5 euro/day to rent if necessary), gratuities (recommended at 10 to 15%) of the cruise and the land-based dive package portion of the trip, diver accident insurance mandatory and travel insurance (highly recommended).
05NOV12 Update on SWS Trip Package Payment Requirements . As of September 21, 2012, 2/3rds of your trip cost is required to be on deposit at SWS to continue to hold your reserved spot. All currently reserved participants have been ticketed on our United Airlines group flights round trip from SFO. If SWS has not received payment bringing your total deposit up to 2/3rds of your trip cost, we reserve the right to sell your spot to another and money you do have on account is non-refundable. Final trip payment is due into SWS no later than December 21, 2012.
Note: Group #2's reverse itinerary package cost is slightly higher than Group #1's package cost and extends over a couple of days longer than Group #1's itinerary. Due to flight schedule restriction for flight from Yap to Palau, group #2 spends an additional 2 nights at the Sea Passion Hotel in Koror, Palau before boarding the Palau Siren.
TRIP REQUIREMENTS & CANCELATION POLICY
NOTE 1: If you must cancel, all deposit money is non-refundable unless we are able to fill your vacated space. If we are able to fill your vacated spot at the full purchase price, SWS will credit your refund to an in-store account minus a per person $500 cancellation fee. If we are unable to fill your spot on the trip, all money paid toward the trip will be forfeited. Should you fail to make incremental payments on the due dates, SWS reserves the right to cancel your reservation and sell your spot to another. NO refunds of deposits made prior to non-payment of an incremental payment will be issued.
NOTE 2: Trip Release of Liability Waiver Requirement: Every person who reserves a spot on a trip through SWS must have a completed TRIP WAIVER form on file at SWS before being allowed on the trip. If you do not know the cost of your trip to put in the "amount" space, contact Scuba World Sacramento. Download, print, fill in the blanks as instructed, indicate you have read and understand the waiver by signing and dating the appropriate GROUP #1 SWS PALAU /YAP TRIP WAIVER FORM OR GROUP #2 SWS YAP/PALAU TRIP WAIVER FORM and fax the completed form "attention Lynn" to SWS at fax number: 916-338-0277.
NOTE 3: YOU MUST HAVE A PASSPORT VALID FOR AT LEAST SIX MONTHS BEYOND YOUR RETURN DATE. U.S. Passport applications, renewal forms and information can be found on line at PASSPORT HOME
NOTE 4: Every diver on this trip is required to have Diver Accident Insurance coverage. Please assume responsibility for yourself by purchasing diver accident insurance. Andy and Lynn cannot be responsible financially for your care should you need it while on this trip. A decompression chamber is located in Yap and in Koror. Should you require require air-evacuation from either island to Guam or Manila or even back to the US, you want this coverage because to pay out-of-pocket for this service would be extremely expensive. Local medical facilities are basic at best on both islands. If you do not wish to join Divers Alert Network and purchase their Diver Accident Insurance, proof of another plan you have that covers you for an an out-of- the- country accident including medical flight evacuation costs is acceptable.
